The visiting Bangladesh Parliamentary delegation has met General Secretary of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) Ram Madhab at the party headquarters in Delhi on Wednesday morning.
Faruk Khan MP led the eight-member parliamentary delegation, reports BSS.
During the meeting, the BJP general secretary expressed his government's firm support to the elections held in January this year in Bangladesh.
Madhab appreciated Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina and her government's firm resolve to eliminate all forms of terrorism in the region.
The leader of Bangladesh Parliamentary delegation assured of Bangladesh's total cooperation with regard to investigation in Bardawan blast issue.
He also expressed gratitude for the support extended by India to Bangladesh's election as Chair of both Commonwealth Parliamentary Association (CPA) and International Parliamentary Union (IPU).
The delegation arrived in New Delhi on November 23 on a 3-day goodwill visit.
They had wide range of discussions with political leaders and members of civil society on issues of mutual bilateral interests.
The other member of Bangladesh delegation are - Jatiya Sangsad Whip Iqbalur Rahim, parliament members Kazi Nabil Ahmed, Mustafa Lutfullah, Nahim Razzaque, Ms Mahjabeen Khaled, Md Shafiqul Islam Shimul and Pankaj Nath and member of Bangladesh Awami League, Central Executive Committee Sujit Roy Nandi and Director of the Institute of Conflict, Law and Development Studies (ICLDS) Mohammad Ali Arafat.
