A mobile court has fined 15 shopkeepers on charges of selling banned polythene bags at Ashuganj of Brahmanbaria.
Meanwhile, several mounds of polythene bags were also seized from the shops.
Assistant Commissioner (land) of Ashuganj Aktar-un-Nesa Shiuli led the mobile court in the drive.
"Each of the shopkeepers were fined under the Environment Conservation Act," said the assistant commissioner.
