Charges against Mobarak

Expelled Awami League leader Mobarak Hossain was allegedly involved in crimes against humanity during the 1971 Liberation War.

The International Crimes Tribunal 1 is set to deliver verdict in the case against Mobarak Hossain from Brahmanbaria for his alleged war crimes.

A total of five charges were brought against the former Awami League leader.

The charges are:

Charge 1: Killing 33 unarmed civilians on the bank of Ganga Sagar Dighi of village Tanmandail in Akhaura.

Charge 2: Capturing a Hindu Temple named “Anandamoyee Kalibari” which was later renamed as “Razakar Manjil” and the abduction of one Ashuranjan who was tortured to death.

Charge 3: Abduction and murder of Abdul Khaleque of Satian village in Brahmanbaria.

Charge 4: Mobarak and his men abducted Khadem Hossain Khan from Station Road of Brahmanbaria and tortured him in confinement.

Charge 5: Abduction and torture of Abdul Malek of village Kharompur and Md Siraj of Amirpara who were later killed by razakars.
