The main opposition Jatiya Party along with the independent lawmakers on Sunday walked out due to the government not taking proper action against the chairman of Biman Bangladesh Airlines.
All JaPa lawmakers led-by Kazi Firoz Rashid and independent lawmakers including Tahjib Alam Siddiqui demanded to discuss on Biman chairman Air Marshal Jamal Uddin Ahmed for an hour in the House.
Jatiya Samajtantrik Dal (JCD) lawmaker Mainuddin Khan Badal laid out the proposal first before the parliament.
The involvement of Biman high-ups with gold-smuggling racket is a widely discussed issue of recent time.
