Two people have been killed in separate road accidents at Mirsarai upazila in Chittagong on Friday.
The deceased are Sahidul Islam,45, and Taslima Aktar, 15.
Assistant Sub-Inspector (ASI) Pankaj Barua of Chittagong Medical College Hospital (CMCH) Police Outpost said: “A covered van knocked Sahidul down around 9am while he was crossing Dhaka-Chittagong Highway, leaving him critically injured.”
“Locals rushed him to the CMCH, where the on-duty doctors declared him dead.”
On the other hand, Taslima was killed after a microbus ran her over at Komoldhoha Bazar around 2:00pm.
