Police, in a drive, have arrested a person with 2,950 bottles of Phensidyl syrup from Elenga bus stand area under Kalihati uapzila in Tangail.
Aksar Ali, 42, son of Abdus Sattar of Kabilpur village of Jessore, was arrested on Thursday.
Kalihati police station Officer-in-Charge Aslam Iqbal said: “Acting on a tip off, the police intercepted a Dhaka-bound private car near Elenga bus stand and recovered 2,950 bottles of Phensidyl from 14 sacks.”
He said: “Arrestee Aksar is a wanted in several cases.”
