A schoolboy has been killed after a bus ran him over in Chandradighalia area on Dhaka-Khulna highway in Gopalganj.
Angry locals blocked the highway for about 30 minutes protesting the road accident on Wednesday morning.
Deceased Mifta Shikdar, 10, son of Moazzem Shikdar, was a class III student of Chandradighalia Primary School.
Gopalganj sadar police station Officer-in-Charge Md Zakir Hossain Molla said a speedy bus ran Mifta over while he was crossing the road around 8:30am on Wednesday, leaving him dead on the spot.
Later, police seized the bus from Muksudpur area, he added.
