Teachers and students of the Rajshahi University (RU) have continued the protest on Tuesday against the murder of their sociology professor AKM Shafiul Islam.
Different organizations at the university observed several programs seeking punishment for the murderers.
Among the programs were human chain, class boycott, procession and rally.
Sociology Department and Teachers' Association formed a human chain at the university's Paris Road in front of the Arts building at 11am.
University Vice Chancellor Professor Chowdhury Sarwar Jahan, Rajshahi University Teachers' Association President Professor Kamrul Hassan Majumdar spoke at the demonstration.
At the end of the human chain, a mourning rally was brought out that marched in various streets of the university and concluded in front of the sociology department.
Later, the students brought out another protest rally.
