The Anti Corruption Commission (ACC) has summoned the director general of Water Development Board (WDB) for allegedly having a fake freedom fighter certificate.
ACC Assistant Director Selina Monir has sent a notice to WDB DG Md Shahidur Rahman on Tuesday afternoon.
In the notice, the ACC asked the WDB DG to appear before the commission's Segunbagicha office at 10am on November 20.
ACC sources said the commission had sent a letter to the liberation war affairs ministry seeking information of its 160 officials having freedom fighters' certificates. In reply, the ministry sent a list of 32 officials. However, the ministry mentioned that it could not find any evidence of rest of the 128 officials.
Shahidur Rahman was among the 128 officials who do not have evidence of being freedom fighters.
