The Ministry of Science and Technology has launched a new web portal under the National web portal on Sunday, a press release said.
It was also said in the press release that the new web portal would be more organized, informative and easier to use. And it could be viewed both in Bengali and English.
Science and technology minister Yafes Osman inaugurated the new portal in the meeting room at the ministry.
While inaugurating the minister said the government is determined to build a digital Bangladesh.
He said the government has taken the information technology to the doorstep of the common people to this end.
Information Services Center at every Union level and the National web Portal are the major examples regarding this, he also said.
Khandaker Md Asaduzzaman, the secretary of the ministry, Additional secretary (Administration), Dilip Kumar Basak, Additional secretary Kazi Salahuddin Akbar and Nurjahan were also present among other Ministry officials and heads of wings under the Ministry, on the occasion.
