Update : 13 Nov 2014, 09:10 PM

They also met JU Vice Chancellor Prof Dr Farzana Islam and handed over a book regarding full fledged university outline.

The teachers also criticised authorities recent initiative regarding teachers' recruitment in biochemistry and molecular biology department.

At the press conference, Prof Anu Muhammad said if a teacher was appointed wrongly, the students of many generations would suffer. So, new resolutions over teacher recruitment should be composed in order to appointing capable teachers.

“We have addressed these demands from our responsibilities to country’s people and the university as well. As the university ran by the tax money of mass people, we have some responsibilities to them. We have informed the VC about our demands from these responsibilities,” Prof Anu Muhammad said.

Philosophy department’s Associate Professor and spokesman of “Shikkhok Moncho” Raihan Rhyne, anthropology department’s Associate Professors Saieed Ferdous and Mahmudul Hasan Sumon, Bangla department’s Assistant Professor Himel Barkat and history department’s Assistant Professor Anisa Parveen were present at the press conference.
