Indian Border Security Force (BSF) detained a Bangladeshi national at Beurjhari border for illegally entering Indian territory on Sunday night.
The detainee is Muktarul Islam, 20, resident of Boro Charuigati village in Baliadangi upazila of Thakurgaon.
BGB 30 Battalion Operation Officer Maj ATM Nazmul Huda said BSF members of Borobillah camp held Muktarul around 8pm on Sunday.
He informed that a letter was sent to BSF for sending the Bangladeshi national back.
"A flag meeting between the company commanders of BGB and BSF is scheduled to be held at 11am on Monday regarding the detention," he added.
