Two siblings have been burnt to death in Harnidurgapur area under Faridganj upazila of the district.
The deceased are Afrin Aktar Mili, 10, and Al-Amin, 4, offsprings of Alamgir Hossain.
Brother at Chandpur sadar hospital's emergency unit Salamat Ulla said the duo set fire to a bottle of spirit while playing with it on Saturday morning. "Both sustained severe burn injuries as the bottle burst due to the fire."
Sirajul Islam, uncle of the deceased, said the siblings were first rushed to Chandpur sadar hospital. Later, they died on the way to Dhaka Medical College Hospital.
