District Truck and Trunk-lorry Workers’ Union has called an indefinite transport strike from Saturday in all routes of the district.
District Truck and Trunk-lorry Workers’ Union President Pulin Chandra said: “We will observe the strike in order to press home our two-point demand. The strike will be enforced from 6am on Saturday and it will be continued until our demands are met.”
The strike has been called demanding the arrest of the attackers on the district workers' union office and stopping attacks on the general transport workers.
