Customs officials of Shahjalal International Airport have recovered 15kg of smuggled gold from inside a bag at the ladies toilet of Shahjalal International Airport in Dhaka early Saturday.
Assistant Director of Department of Customs Intelligence and Investigation of Shahjalal International Airport Umme Nahida Akhter told Bangla Tribune, a sister concern of the Dhaka Tribune: “The smuggled gold worth Tk7.5 crore has been recovered around 2am.”
“However, nobody has been arrested in this connection as it is yet to be known that who kept the bag inside the toilet. A case has been filed and Investigation is underway.”
