The Walton Mobile 5th Services Wrestling comprising 118 male and female wrestlers will get underway at Kabaddi Stadium, Paltan Ground this Monday. To open the doors for the new and rising wrestlers, the wrestling federation has decided to take double entries from each team this year.
The two-day event will see the same eight weight categories in both the male and female sections.
The champions will be awarded a purse of Tk30,000 while the runners-up will receive Tk20,000.
In a press conference held at the conference room of Bangabandhu National Stadium yesterday, Tabiur Rahman Pahlawan, the general secretary of Bangladesh Wrestling Federation presented the event to the press. FM Iqbal bin Anwar Dawn, the additional director of Walton and other federation officials were also present on the occasion.
