Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg has personally donated $25m to play his part in fighting Ebola which is a worldwide health concern.
He made the discloser while commenting on a post that raised questions regarding Facebook's newly introduced “donate button.”
The comment stated that Facebook will also be spending millions to provide internet in the areas affected by the disease.
Earlier, Zuckerberg on his official page declared three prolonged approaches to fight the Ebola.
According to the post, Facebook will provide internet connectivity in Guinea, Liberia and Sierra Leone to help medical and aid workers track cases and coordinate their response.
They are sharing information on Facebook, in partnership with UNICEF, to help people in the affected and nearby countries prevent, detect and treat Ebola.
And most importantly, declared the “donate button” which will enable the social media users to donate directly.
The social networking website will also highlight the work of some of the non-profits leading the fight on the ground against Ebola.
