Nearly 1200 telephone lines of Bangladesh Telecommunications Company Limited (BTCL) under city's Sher-e-Banglanagar exchange have been disconnected due to stealing of its underground cable in city's Mohammadpur area.
BTCL clients in Tajmahal road, Shahjahan road, Humayun road, Razia Sultana road, Mohammadia Housing Society, Mohammadia Housing Limited, Ring road, Krishi market and adjacent areas have been out of connection, as the underground cable was stolen by miscreants on Tuesday night, said a BTCL press release today.
BTCL is working for the reinstatement of the disconnected telephone lines and expecting to make those active soon.
BTCL authority regretted to its valued customers for the unexpected inconvenience, the release added.
