Police have recovered the body of a Sramik Dal leader from a paddy field at Boyalmari village under Daudkandi upazila in Comilla.
The deceased is Mokhlesur Rahman, 45, son of Mujibur Rahman of the village and the president of the party's Boyalmari union unit.
Family sources said Mokhlesur left the house on Wednesday evening and did not return home after that.
Later, the locals found his body in the paddy field around 9am on Thursday.
Daudkandi police station Officer-in-Charge Abu Salam Mia said: “Injury marks have been noticed on his body and head.”
“Six cases, including murder, were filed against him,” he added.
