‘The Dhaka Print Club Show at Bengal Art Lounge

A group print exhibition titled “The Dhaka Print Club Show” is being held at the Bengal Art Lounge in Gulshan Avenue, Dhaka.

The show is about discovering new talents, different themes and unique techniques. Founded by Rokeya Sultana, famed artist and printmaking teacher at Dhaka University, the Dhaka Print Club is a platform for young print makers who have wide ranges of themes or artistic philosophy.

The participants of the exhibition has given an insight of their innovative creativity in their print work. The exposition offers viewers the results of experimenting with nature in mysterious aspects. The portraits are mostly zombie-like, which creates emotional fear and anxiety. The figurative images are captivating which speaks about the fragility of life.

Along with Rokeya Sultana, participating artists are Abdullah Al Bashir, Rashida Akhter, Farzana Haque, Juton Chandra Roy, Mahbubur Rahman, Mukaddas  Sadi Ahmed, Palash Baran Biswas and  Sheikh Farhana Parvin Tumpa. The exhibition will run until November 8.
