After the daylong unusual power outage, lights began to back in several parts in the capital from the evening.
DPDC Managing Director Nazrul Hasan told the Dhaka Tribune, in electricity has been restored in almost 40 percent areas in the northern part of the city, including Mohammadpur, Dhanmondi and some parts of old town.
Alongside, DESCO Managing Director Arzad Hossain said: "30 percent areas of the southern part of the city, including Uttara, Gulshan, Banani, are now getting electricity.
The electricity reportedly back in Agargaon, Taltala area around 9:45pm.
Adnan Bin Rashid, a Dhanmondi resident told the Dhaka Tribune that they got electricity at 10:30pm.
Sara Tanvira from Uttara residential area said they got electric supply at 9:30pm.
Power supply restored in Dakkhinkhan area around 9pm. Electric supply has been restored in Panthapath, Mirpur around 11pm, according to the locals.
Electricity came in Gulshan area around 10:15pm, according to Faruq Hasan, a resident of Gulshan area told Dhaka Tribune.
The supply of electricity reached Karwanbazar area, Kamrul Hasan said.
Smriti Kana Biswas informed Dhaka Tribune that electricity back to Motijheel AGB colony.
Firoz AL Mamun, a resident of Norda said, the electricity came for 20 minutes around 9pm and went off 9.20pm.
Electricity partially restored also in several districts
Power supply has been partially restored in Chittagong, Comilla, Barisal, Mymensingh and Feni towns on Saturday evening.
Power Grid Company of Bangladesh (PGCB) Managing Director Masum Al Biruni told the Dhaka Tribune.

An unusual power outage has taken over the entire country as the national grid collapsed two times since 11:30am.
"We are rationing electricity to some areas of the city from 6pm," Md Moniruzzaman, deputy director of Power Development Board in Chittagong, told the Dhaka Tribune.
He said all the 10 power stations in Chittagong city have resumed operation. "We are getting 447 MW electricity from the power stations. The demand in the city is now 420 MW. Extra 20 MW is being added to the national grid."
Tariqul Islam, executive engineer of West Zone Power Distribution Company (WZPDC) Barisal office, told the Dhaka Tribune: "Although we succeeded to resume limited power supply in some emergency feeders around 6pm, but electricity supply in most of the 18 feeders in the city is yet to be resumed."
WZPDC superintending engineer Md Hashem said they were working for full restoration of power supply within the next two to four hours.
