Two investigation committees have been formed over the power failure across the country on Sunday.
Ministry of Power, Energy and Mineral Resources formed a seven-member probe committee headed by additional secretary Ahmed Kaikaus.
Power Grid Company of Bangladesh formed another three-member committee headed by its executive director Tapan Kumar Roy.

The High Voltage DC substation at Bheramara in Kushtia shut down due to technical glitch in the morning. The blackout hit around noon and covered all parts of the country connected to the national grid as other power stations near it started closing down one after another.
