Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has greeted Rail Minister Mujibul Haque on his wedding.
The minister shared the news with journalists on Wednesday.
He said: “The prime minister wished us a happily married life. She prayed also for our harmonious conjugal life.”
“The premier greeted me when I went to meet her in order to seek her wishes.”
The 60-year-old minister recently made the announcement of his marriage.
The wedding would be held on October 31 while the reception ceremony would be held on November 14.
The ceremony is scheduled to take place at 7pm at LD Hall in the parliament building, according to the invitation card of the ceremony.
Dhaka Tribune has received a card at the secretariat for the purpose of acquiring information about the event.
According to the card, the bride of the railways minister is Honufa Aktar Rikta, daughter of Habibulla Munshi, hailing from Chandina of Comilla.
Railways minister's three elder brothers – Abdur Rashid, Abdul Matin and ABM Abdul Latif – are hosting the reception ceremony.
Born in 1947, the lawyer-cum-politician was elected as lawmaker thrice.
Former foreign minister Abdus Samad Azad in 1998 and former law minister Abdul Matin Khasru in late 90s got married while holding office. Both of them married when their previous wives passed away.
