'Indian nationals kill 3 Bangladeshis'

Three Bangladeshi cattle traders have been killed by the Indian nationals inside the Indian Territory near Chunarughat-Balla border of Habiganj.  

The deceased are Karam Ali, 35, Sujan Mia, 25, Apple Mia, 30 hailed from Alinagar village under Gazipur union of Chunarughat upazila of the district. 

Locals claimed on Tuesday morning some cattle traders went to the border area of India to buy cows from Alinagar village. 

At that time, Indians seriously beat them suspecting them as thieves. 

Three people died on the spot.

The other two men, who could escape from the mass beating, informed the locals about the incident on Tuesday afternoon.

Md Tajul Islam, Chairman of the Gazipur union, said the BGB informed about the killing incident. 

He quoted Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) as saying a flag meeting with Border Security Force (BSF) was underway as they were trying to bring back the bodies. 

Lieutenant Colonel Nasir Uddin Ahmed of BGB 46 battalion confirmed the Dhaka Tribune.

He said, “We have talked with the BSF after being informed the incident. BSF also admitted about the death of three people inside their border."

We are now trying to know where the bodies were, he said.
