Terminated Posts and Telecommunications Minister Abdul Latif Siddique will be arrested "immidiately after he returns home."
State Minister for Home Affairs Asaduzzaman Khan Kamal said this while replying to the queries of the journalists at his office on Tuesday.
The government will take action against Latif as per the court’s direction, Kamal said.
Meanwhile, several arrest warrants were issued against sacked minister Abdul Latif Siddique in a case filed for hurting the religious sentiment of the Muslims by making derogatory comments.
Regarding Jamaat leader Motiur Rahman Nizami’s verdict set on Wednesday, Kamal said the law enforcers will take measures on security issues just like before.
None will be spared if anyone tries to create anarchy over the verdict issue of Nizami, Kamal cautioned responding to another question.
When asked about JMB’s involvement with India’s West Bengal blast, Kamal said India provided no information over the matter.
He, however, said the government has engaged its own intelligence agencies to look into the issue.
There is no room for militants in Bangladesh, the minister reiterated saying the government is identifying the finance sources of the outfits.
