Mostafa Sarwar Farooki’s fifth directorial venture “Piprabidya,” one of the most anticipating films of the year, is releasing in 21 cinemas of the country today.
The film stars Sheena Chohan, Noor Imran Mithu, Mukit Jakaria, Mou Debnath, RJ Sabbir and others.
Indian actress Sheena Chohan arrived in Dhaka on October 21 to participate in the promotional activites of the film. After arrival, the gorgeous Chohan posted on her Facebook account: “Landed in Bangladesh and loving the energy, buzz and excitement on the film! Came to know we hit more than 270,000 views on our trailer the first day....wow! Thank you to all the wonderful people for the love!”
Farooki and the team of Piprabidya have taken Facebook and other social media very seriously for the campaign of the movie. They are frequently posting intersting facts, posters, phortographs along with words that encourage people to go to the theatres.
Earlier, to introduce the débutante hero, Mithu, Farooki, known for his atypical directorial tastes, released a fun video titled “Hero Hoite Ar Ki Laage” ridiculing the hero stereotypes seen in the industry through social media.
“Piprabidya,” which was premiered in several international film festivals, is about unemployed young people who live in Dhaka city, which they think of as a “big pie” and become desperate to have their shares.
