The government yesterday appointed Istiaque Ahmad as the new chairman for Bangladesh Oil, Gas and Mineral Corporation, widely known as Petrobangla.
Public Administration Ministry issued a notice in this regard.
Istiaque Ahmad is an additional secretary of the cabinet division and a graduate of 1984 BCS batch. He will be replacing Hossain Monsur, who was appointed as the chairman in Aug 2010.
