5 Bangladeshis die in Saudi road crash

Five Bangladeshis were killed and two others injured in a road accident in Saudi Arabia’s Makka city yesterday.

The accident took place early in the morning as the driver of a big taxi they all were travelling in lost control over the steering and hit two pediatricians who were Saudi nationals.

 The deceased were named as Md Aiyub (driver), Nazir Hossain, Md Sharif, Md Alam and Md Monsur. They hailed from Cox’s Bazar. The bodies of four of them have been kept at King Faisal Hospital and the fifth at Al Noor Hospital.

Two others injured were Md Islam and Jainal. However, where they hail from in Bangladesh could not be known immediately. Of them, Islam has been released from hospital after first aid while Jainal is still undergoing treatment.
