Md Moniruzzaman, the managing director of IDLC Investments Limited, has been selected unanimously as the second vice-president of Bangladesh Merchant Bankers’ Association (BMBA).
The selection came at the 30th executive committee meeting of BMBA held on Sunday, said a statement of the association.
Tanjil Chowdhury, president of the association, presided over the meeting.
Moniruzzaman has been working in the banking as well as investment banking industry for over 15 years.
Prior to joining IDLC, he worked for Citi as Financial Controller and as CFO for their merchant banking arm.
He was the founding team member of AIMS of Bangladesh Ltd and AB Bank Merchant Banking Division.
He also worked for Swadesh Investment Ltd as well.
Moniruzzaman had a short stint in Abrar Global Asset Managers in Malaysia also.
