After a hiatus of two years, Pantha Kanai will be seen lending his voice to the title song of a film to be directed by Saif Chandan. “It wasn’t a planned thing,” the singer said. “It happened all on a sudden.”
“The lyric of the song was written by Sudip Kumar San while the tune and music arrangements were done by Ahmed Humayun,” Pantha said.
The film – “Target” – stars Anisur Rahman Milon opposite model-turned-actress Airin. Its script was written by Ayan Chowdhury.
Before, Pantha Kanai sang a song for Ruhul Amin’s yet-unreleased flick “Hasan Raja,” which stars Mithun Chakraborty, Raima Sen and Arman Parvez Murad in leading roles.
Pantha, whose debut album was launched in 2001, played drums for noted bands such as Nagar Baul and Souls before he moved to Arnob and Friends. Currently, he is working on his fourth album.
