The government is going to start journey of 11 medical colleges on January 10, the Homecoming Day of the Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, Health and Family Welfare Minister Mohammad Nasim has said.
The minister said this while laying foundation stone of a 50-bed capacity eye hospital at Nagarpur Upazila of Tangail on Sunday, reports BSS.
Classes of the medical colleges also will begin on the same day, Nasim said.
The number of students of each medical college will be 50," he told journalists.
Nasim said journey of the new medical colleges will significantly contribute to the development of healthcare services in the country.
