Complaint against Tarique for calling Sheikh Mujib 'Pakbandhu'
A complaint has been filed against BNP Senior Vice-Chairman Tarique Rahman for calling Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman "Pakbandhu". Advocate Moshiur Malik, president of Bangabandhu Foundation, filed the complaint (Condemnation of the creation of the state) with Dhaka Chief Metropolitan Magistrate's (CMM) court under section 123 (A) of the Penal Code.
National Professor Salahuddin Ahmed dies
Eminent historian and National Professor Dr Salahuddin Ahmed has passed away on Sunday morning. He was 90. He breathed his last around 6am at his Banani residence. He was suffering from old age complications. Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has expressed deep shock at the death of the eminent historian.

Detective Branch of Police in Gazipur have detained a drug peddler with 500 pieces of yaba tablets at Battala area of Tongi. The detainee is Ilias Hossain, 19, son of Ishaq Mia, of Teknaf in Cox's Bazar.

3 held with phensidyl in Thakurgoan
The police have detained three drug peddlers with 98 bottles of phynsidyl from of Baliadangi police station road under the upazila in Thakurgoan. The detainees are Alam, 21, of Ratnai Maradhar village, Dudu Miah, 24, of Jaunia village and Shahadat of Dhantala village under the upazila.
