Police have rescued 39 Bangladeshis from Notun Bridge area in Chittagong, while they were being trafficked to Malaysia.
The trafficking victims hailed from Narsingdi, Sylhet and Shariatpur districts.
Bakalia police station Officer-in-Charge Mohammad Mohsin said: “We rescued them around 11am on Thursday, before they were trafficked to Malaysia.”
He said: “We could not arrest the traffickers. Police are investigating the matter.”
