The government will appoint M Fazlul Karim as the new Ambassador of Bangladesh to China.
Karim is currently serving as Bangladesh Ambassador to Mexico, reports BSS.
In his distinguished diplomatic career, he served in Bangladesh Permanent Mission to the UN in New York, Bangladesh Embassy in Jakarta and Washington DC, Bangladesh High Commission in Islamabad and Bangladesh Consulate General in Hong Kong in various capacities.
He has also served as Bangladesh Ambassador to Italy, Saudi Arabia and Jordan.
Fazlul Karim obtained his graduate and post-graduate degrees from the University of Dhaka on International Relations.
He is married and blessed with two sons and a daughter, the release said.
A career diplomat, Fazlul Karim belongs to the 1984 batch of BCS (Foreign Affairs) Cadre.
