Three people have been killed as a truck rammed into a motorcycle near Goayatala area of Tarakanda upazila of the district.
The deceased were identified as Yakub Ali, 20, Ujjal, 15, and Nizam, 19, hailed from Ronokanda village under Tarakanda upazila.
The accident took place near Goaltala Shasar Bazar area on Mymensingh-Fulpur road on Tuesday afternoon, said Tarakanda police station Officer-in-Charge Ali Ahmed.
The truck rammed into the motorcycle leaving two dead on the spot. Another succumbed to his injuries while he was on the way to Mymensing Medical College Hospital.
The truck was seized but the driver managed to escape, said OC Ali Ahmed.
