Four people have been killed and three others have been injured as a truck rammed into an auto-rickshaw at Majhgram area near Agran Bazar of Baraigram upazila in Natore.
The deceased are auto-rickshaw driver Lokaman, 40, son of Mosher Uddin; Shukur Ali, 60, son of Mohom Fakir; Mamata, 35, wife of Mokbul Hossain, residents of Azran Bazar, and Pulok, 30, son of Rajen, of Parpol village.
Bonpara highway police station Officer-in-Charge Fuwad Ruhani said: "The accident took place in the area at around 3:45pm that left Lokman, Shukur and Pulok dead on the spot.”
The injured were rushed to Amena clinic where duty doctors declared Mamata dead, he added.
However, the truck driver managed to flee from the scene, OC Fuad said.
