Eight people, including four police constables have sustained injuries as a bus collided head-on with a police van in Rajpur upazila under Baraigram upazila of Natore.
The constables are Obaidul, 34, Ahsan, 32, Alamgir, 30, and Aminul, 35, of Sirajganj Sadar police station.
Fuwad Ruhani, officer-in-charge of Banpara highway police, said: “The Pabna-bound police pick-up van from Sirajganj collided head-on with a passenger bus of Shyamoli Paribahan on Saturday afternoon, leaving four policemen and four bus passengers injured.”
Locals rescued the injured and admitted them to different hospitals in Rajshahi and Pabna.
Police seized the bus but the driver managed to flee, said police.
