Four persons including three members of a family have been killed in a head on collision between a bus and a microbus at Satmail of Rashidpur on Sylhet-Dhaka highway.
The deceased are Nurul Afsar, 48, deputy general manager of Agrani Bank's Dhaka principal office, his wife Umme Kulsuma, 40, daughter Mohtasina Islam, 14, and microbus driver Polash, 37.
Two others were also injured in the accident.
He said a bus of Surma Paribahan and a microbus collided head-on around 11am, leaving two persons dead and four others injured on the spot.
The injured were admitted to different hospitals where two others died while undergoing treatment.
Additional Deputy Commissioner of Sylhet Metropolitan Police Zedan-al-Musa confirmed the Dhaka Tribune about the deaths.
