Fifteen garment workers have been injured as a bus plunges into a road accident on Dhaka-Tangail highway under Mirazpur upazila in Tangail.
The injured have been sent to Mirzapur Kumudini Hospital.
Gorai highway police station Officer-in-Charge Jobaidul Alam said: “A Rangpur-bound passenger bus of Bogdad Paribohan plunged into a road side ditch when its driver lost his control over the steering at Sohagpara area around 9am on Sunday, leaving fifteen garments workers injured.”
He said the fire fighters form Mirzapur and Tangail reached the spot and rescued them.
The OC said: “They work at Increment Apparent Limited in Chittagong. They had rented the bus to go to their home town for Eid-ul-Azha.”
