Prime Minister Shaikh Hasina is scheduled to brief the media on Saturday afternoon about the outcomes of her recent visit to New York.
The press conference will be held at Ganabhaban at 4pm, says Prime Minister’s Press Secretary Shamim Ahmed.
The conference will cover the issues of Posts and Telecommunications Minister Abdul Latif Siddique.
Earlier on Thursday morning, after her arrival the VIP lounge of Osmani International Airport, she told the party members: “Latif Siddique will be expelled from all post of Awami League for making controversial comments on Hajj.”
She will also brief the media about her meeting with Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
Sheikh Hasina returned home on Thursday morning from London concluding her ten-day visits to USA and UK.
On September 22, the prime minister went New York to attend the 69th United Nations General Assembly (UNGA).
On the sidelines of the UNGA, Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina held meetings with her Indian counterpart Narendra Modi, Norwegian Premier Erna Solberg, Belarusian Prime Minister Mikhal V Myasnikovich and Nepalese Prime Minister Sushil Koirala.
She also attended a reception accorded by expatriate Bangladeshis in New York.
