Update : 02 Oct 2014, 07:54 PM

Popular jazz/rock fusion band Maqsoon O’ Dhaka has made its much-anticipated comeback by releasing online three singles from its upcoming album “Shobdochitro” (Word Picture). This will the band’s third album after a hiatus of 15 years since its previous release.

The songs are titled Juger Montrona (Hotmail Theke Viber), Horibol and Obhijog Nei. The album, which is expected to be released in full after Eid, will feature a total of 10 songs.

In a Facebook post, Maqsood, the frontman of the band, wrote: “We signed up with etunes.com.bd who together with Qinetic Music will be covering the Bangladesh distribution of #Maqsood_O_dHAKA album #ShobdoChitro. To make downloads easier etunes will be unrolling the ‘push-pull’ system (and I have the honour to be the first artist in Bangladesh as their launch customer) where you will be able to send an SMS to a unique # from any operator - that will allow auto-download of the songs straight to your phone. Nothing can get simpler than this - can it?”

The current line-up of the band is: Taposh on bass), Rose on Afro-Caribbean percussions, Maqsood on lead vocals, Montu on drums, Rahin on saxophones and flute, Bullet on keyboards and Shakil on guitar.
