A clinker-laden cargo vessel has capsized in Pashur River in Mongla upazila of Bagerhat.
Mongla Port Authority sources said the cargo ship, MV Nayon Shree-3, sank in the river in Joymoni area at arond 8am on Tuesday after hitting an underwater shoal.
The vessel was heading to Mongla port after uploading 650 tonnes of clinker from a China vessel near Harbaria.
Thirteen staff members of the ship, however, managed to swim ashore.
