Customs officials have detained a man with two gold bars weighing about two kilograms at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport.
The detainee was identified as Rony, 37, a resident of Sirajdikhan upazila in Munshiganj district.
Mainul Khan, director general of Customs Intelligence and Investigation Directorate, said Rony came from Kula Lumpur by a Malaysian Airlines flight around 12:15am.
Tipped off, customs officials challenged Rony at the transit lounge and seized two gold bars from his possession.
