A Bangladesh national has been beaten to death by the Indian Border Security Force (BSF) in Indian territory.
The deceased is Jagadish Goshwami, 42, son of Bishnupada Goshwami, of Gopinathpur village under Satkhira sadar upazila.
Kushkhali BOP Naik Subedar Wahiduzzaman said BSF members detained Jagadish at Dudoli area when he was entering India illegally on Saturday morning.
He said: "The BSF members beaten Jagadish mercilessly and left him near main pillar no 9 of Kushkhalio border."
Locals noticed Jagadish's body in the afternoon and informed BGB.
Later, BGB personnel took him to Satkhira sadar hospital where duty doctor declared him dead on arrival.
