Old Cadet Association of Sylhet (OCAS) formed its new committee on Friday.
The election for the formation of central executive committee for the year 2014-16 was held at RAOWA Club in capital's Mohakhali.
Md Shahnoor Alam was elected as president while Abdullah-Al-Kowser Sonnet general secretary of the 20-member committee.
Mohiuddin Ahmed Cammelia was chosen as Senior Vice President. The other vice-presidents are Md Ismail Bhuiyan, Abu Saleh Titu and Khondokar Abdul Muktadir.
S. M. Atiquel Haque was re-elected as Treasurer.
Other members in the committee are Mohammad Asaduzzaman Shaon (Assistant General Secretary), S. M. Faridul Haque (Organizing Secretary) , Fahim (International Communication Secretary), Md. Belal Hossain (Public Relation Secretary), Moinul Hoque Tanmoy (Sports Secretary), Mohammad Abu Bakar Siddique (Cultural Secretary), Bakhtiar (Office Secretary), and Sarfaraz Alam (Career Counseling Secretary).
Mohammad Ziaur Rahman, Kazi Ehsanul Haque and Md Habibur Rahman are Executive Members.
Around 231 general members and life members attended the annual general meeting.
