Detective Branch (DB) of police have arrested a suspected member of Islamic State (IS) at Purana Paltan area in the capital.
The arrestee is Hafizur, reports UNB.
Deputy Commissioner (Media) Masudur Rahman said: “Acting on a tip off, a special team of the DB police conducted a drive at Paltan area and arrested Hafizur.”
Islamic State is a Middle East-based radical Islamist group that has seized large swathes of territory in eastern Syria and across northern and western Iraq.
On Wednesday, DB police arrested five JMB members who were planning to go abroad to take training and participate in Jihad in Myanmar.
