Parineeti Chopra starrer “Daawat-e-Ishq” has minted more than Sonam Kapoor’s“Khoobsurat” in the past four days, but they didn’t meet the expectations of the audience, said an expert of Bollywood films. Both the films released on last Friday all over India with high expectations. Featuring Sonam Kapoor in the lead role, “Khoobsurat” is a remake of the 1980 Rekha starrer “Khubsoorat.” With a strong fan following of the movie’s lead male actor – Pakistani sensation Fawad Khan – many people were expected to catch it in cinema halls, but going by the movie’s earnings it seems like the movie buffs were not that excited about the film.
On the other hand, “Daawat-e-Ishq” also couldn’t pull in the audience to theatres much. It minted Rs 15.63 crore in four days, said a statement.
The movie’s lead actors Aditya Roy Kapoor and Parineeti Chopra had also gone on a “Food Yatra” to promote the film but it seems that the audience did not buy it much.
