US-based Bangladeshi gymnast Kazi Syque Caeser tried hard but failed to match the prowess of the Chinese and Korean gymnasts finishing fifth and seventh in the finals of the Horizontal and Parallel Bars in the Asian Games gymnastics in Incehon, South Korea yesterday.
Caeser was unable to put up a good show in the Parallel Bars but in the Horizontal Bars he kept the pressure on his high-profile opponnets. However, in the last event he finished fifth and it can lauded as a good performance as the world-class Chinese gymnasts were competing against him.
Meanwhile in the event of individual golf, Mohammed Sojib Ali was tied for ninth position alongside 11 players among 70 starters. Mohammed Nazim was positioned 50th, Mohammed Ismail was placed 55th while Mohammed Sagar finished 61st at the end of the first round.
