At least three people, including a child, have been killed and 20 others injured as a passenger bus turned upside down on Hatikumrul-Banpara Highway in Sirajganj's Salanga upazila.
Of the deceased, the child has been identified as Sadia, 3.
Hatikumrul Highway police station Officer-in-Charge DM Emdadul Haque said: “A passenger bus of Nabil Paribahan turned upside down near Goja Bridge area around 9:45pm on Tuesday, leaving three people dead on the spot and 20 others injured.”
“The injured were admitted at different local hospitals and a case was filed in this connection.”
The reason behind the accident could not be known immediately.
