Another person, who had sustained burn injuries in the fishing trawler fire incident on Saturday, died at the burn and plastic surgery unit of Chittagong Medical College Hospital early yesterday, increasing the death toll to three.
The deceased is Md Liton, 30, hailing from Ramgoti of Lakshmipur.
Liton succumbed to his burn injuries around midnight while undergoing treatment. He was admitted to the hospital with 90% burn injuries.
On Saturday, two people were burnt alive and four sustained burn injuries in a fire that broke out in FV Sanjida after its engine exploded at the city’s Fisherighat area.
